Saw it last night. I went with low expectations and I don't think I've even seen the film (or if I did, I was ten), but I thought it was fantastic and great fun - and surprisingly life-affirming. Unlike you, I didn't approve of the Paddington joke (Love that bear), but I did appreciate the Hamilton line they'd shoehorned in. Highly recommend it for anyone with teens (as long as you don't mind swearing / x - talk which is why it's got that 14 rating). 

Same, really can't remember seeing the film. The show was way better than I expected.

Paddington, we can agree to disagree on, LOL. Love the bear and the books, first film was fun, second was pretty good, not seen the third, but stage show, just no.

All the Beetlejuice references were clever indeed. I guess teens hear worse, but no need to encourage it. 14 is about right anyway as it is quite dark for anyone younger, I feel?
