Ends 19th February 2020.

Nigeria 1967, civil war is in the air, and three sisters have lost their soldier father. Inua "Barber Shop Chronicles" Ellams adapts Chekhov's famous tale.

Not available. Professional reviewers are impressed with the transposition of location, acting, production and direction. They are less sure with the meandering length of the script. While explaining the background is required, the third act is deemed superfluous by some, inconclusive by others. Still, the idea of women surviving a war-zone is compelling, and the unanimous verdict is 4 stars - with a nod to the fact some trimming would raise it to 5.
