Alan Bennett's series of monologues re-made for BBC TV in 2020 are given a live performance. They are presented in pairs on various dates. The pairings are:

"The Shrine": At the roadside where he died, a woman mourns the loss of the man she thought she knew.
and
"Bed Among the Lentils." The wife of a preacher finds a distraction in an unlikely place.

"Playing Sandwiches": A park keeper has a tale.
and
"Lady of Letters": An elderly woman writes to put the world to rights.

"The Outside Dog": She stands by her man, and his dog...
and
"The Hand of God": Dealer clears a house, but what is there except junk?

"Nights in the Gardens of Spain": Murderer or victim, or both? Knowing her causes a neighbour to re-examine her own life.
and
"Miss Fozzard Finds her Feet": What can a new podiatrist do for a lady?
