WARNING: Tickets for sold out events are often offered for sale on
online auction / marketplace sites. While sellers may well be legitimate, and
abiding by the trading site's purchase codes, you have no way of telling who
they are. Inadvertently you could be buying from a tout
/ scalper. "Let the buyer beware" is the motto here.
Prices are also very high and the venue CAN CHOOSE TO REFUSE ADMISSION. Theatremonkey does not endorse buying from these sources. It does not sell
tickets that way, and does not participate in any form of online auction. Links from
auctions to this website are not made by theatremonkey and theatremonkey.com
DOES NOT take responsibility for the legitimacy of the seller or tickets being
offered. Please do however use the data on this site to make up your own mind
about each deal.

Paying FULL PRICE for tickets? Site writers and contributing guests have created
this colour-coded plan, considering factors like views, comfort and
value-for-money compared with other same-priced seats available.
Please remember that cheaper seats often do not offer the same view /
location quality as top price ones, and that ticket prices are designed to
reflect this difference.
Seats in GREEN many feel may offer
either noticeable value, or something to compensate for a problem; for example,
being a well-priced restricted view ticket. To find out why they have this
colour
Seats in WHITE, many feel, provided about what they pay for.
Generally unremarkable, to find out why they have this colour,

Seats in RED are coloured to draw
attention. Not necessarily to be avoided - maybe nothing specific is
wrong with them, other than opinions that there are better seats at the same
price. Other times there may be something to consider before buying – perhaps
overpricing, obstructed views, less comfort etc. To find out why they have this
colour,

Stalls rows A to I
are not suitable for those under 5ft 9 or so tall, and anyone wanting to see more of the stage.
SPECIAL CHANGE FOR "The Wizard Of Oz" (February
2011):
Following reader feedback, the monkey chart has an extra 'PINK'
colour border in the front stalls. Readers advise that, depending on your
height, you may not see action / characters (OK, Toto!) close to the stage floor
from seats within this area.
Since May 2011, the issue has been partially resolved with a steeper slope
to the stage but IN PARTICULAR ROWS A AND B HAVE THIS PROBLEM. DO NOT PURCHASE THEM FOR CHILDREN OR
SHORTER ADULTS. To find out more about these issues, click here.
The monkey apologises for adding extra colours, but can't think of a better way
to bring this to readers' attention. All suggestions welcome!

Day Seats: Stalls row A, plus boxes E and EE in the
Upper Circle are available at £25 per ticket to personal callers at the box
office only from 10am on the day of performance. Cards or cash are usually
accepted, the monkey always advises taking both in case one is preferred over
the other, and calling before making a long journey to check that the system is
still in place.
The Dress Circle is
called the "ROYAL CIRCLE" in this theatre.
Note:
The Dress Circle may present legroom issues for those over
around 5ft 7 tall. The actual view is excellent from most seats. For more details of the
seating issues click here. Also please
read stalls information regarding rear and
side stalls recommendations before purchasing.
